Thank you for using Mangra. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when using our app.

1. Information We Collect

Mangra is designed with privacy as a core principle. All translations are processed locally on your device by default. This means we do not collect, store, or access your manga content or translated text.

We only collect limited data required to operate the app:

  • Subscription information: managed by RevenueCat. This includes subscription status and renewal dates. Payments are securely handled by Apple's App Store. We do not access or store your payment details.
  • Usage data: we collect anonymized, non-personal data such as feature usage and crash reports to improve app performance. This data cannot identify you.

2. We Do Not Collect Personal Data

We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email, messages, or files.

Your manga files, images, and translated content remain fully private on your device unless you explicitly use cloud-based features.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Managing subscriptions via RevenueCat.
  • Providing customer support.
  • Improving app performance and developing new features.

4. AI Processing and Cloud Translation

When using Cloud Translation, the app extracts text only from your content and sends it securely for processing. Images and original files are never uploaded.

You can choose your preferred AI provider in the app settings. Depending on your selection, extracted text may be processed by providers such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, Grok, DeepSeek, or Qwen. Requests are sent only after user action.

Important:

  • We do not sell your data to any third parties.
  • Data is sent only for the purpose of generating translations.
  • Only the minimum required text is transmitted.
  • We do not use your data to train our own models.

These providers process data solely to perform the requested translation and operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services

Mangra does not use ads and does not share your data with advertisers.

  • RevenueCat: subscription management.
  • Apple's App Store: secure payment processing.
  • Google Gemini, OpenAI, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen: AI translation processing.

Each provider processes only the minimum data required to perform its function.

6. User-Generated Content

Mangra does not store or access any files you import, including manga, images, or translated text.

All processing happens on-device unless Cloud Translation is used, in which case only extracted text is temporarily processed.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content complies with applicable copyright laws.

7. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical measures to protect your data. Since most processing occurs locally on your device, your content remains secure and private by design.

We do not store your files or translations on our servers.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
