Welcome to Manga Translate! By using our app, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

1. App Description

Manga Translate allows users to import manga from their device and translate it using AI. By default, all translations are processed locally on the device. If users choose Cloud Translation, the original text (extracted using OCR) is sent to the server for processing. The app does not save any images and does not provide any manga content.

2. Subscription Model

Manga Translate offers both free and paid tiers:

  • Free Mode: Use the app as a manga reader and access Local (Apple) Translation.
  • Paid Subscription: Unlock AI translation features, including:
    • Local (Apple) and Cloud (LLM) Translation
    • Website Translation
    • Manga Translate Overlay Shortcut – Translate text from any app without leaving it.
    • Manga Translate Image Shortcut – Translate images by sending them to the shortcut via the share button.
    • Subscription options:
      • Weekly: $2.99
      • Monthly: $6.99
      • Yearly: $39.99 (includes a free 3-day trial)

Subscriptions are managed via RevenueCat and billed through Apple’s App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Manga Translate, you agree to:

  • Ensure that any manga you import or translate is legally obtained. Manga Translate is not responsible for any copyright violations.
  • Understand that language packs may need to be downloaded for translations to work. These files remain on your device.
  • Use Cloud Translation only if you agree to send extracted text (not images) to our servers.
  • Use Website Translation responsibly and not for unauthorized content.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the app to distribute, share, or translate copyrighted content without proper authorization.
  • Reverse-engineer, modify, or create derivative works from the app.
  • Attempt to bypass any security features or misuse the app in any unlawful manner.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are processed via Apple’s App Store, and all payments are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be made directly through Apple, as we do not process refunds ourselves.

6. Intellectual Property

Manga Translate, including its software, AI translation models, and features, is the property of its developers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any part of the app, including its translation results.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Manga Translate is provided “as is” without any guarantees. We do not guarantee that translations will always be accurate or that the app will be free from bugs or interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Any incorrect translations or misunderstandings resulting from the AI.
  • Any copyright issues related to the manga you import or translate.
  • Any loss of data or problems caused by using the app.

9. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users within the app. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
